Do I Dazzle You?

This tutorial was written for those that have knowledge of PSP.

 

Tutorial written with PSP X2 but should work in any version of PSP

 

Supplies Needed:

PSP

Tubes of Choice

I used the artwork of Ken Lee.

You must ask permission to use his work

Scrap Kit used:  Edward

Scrap kit by: Ellie Lash Designs

Eyecandy Glow (optional)

Mura’s  Meisters Copies

 Mask of choice or the ones I’ve included

(if these are your masks please let me know so I can take them down or give proper credit)

Font of Choice

(I used Carpenter ICG)

Brushes of Choice or the ones I have included

(if these are your brushes please let me know so I can take them down or give proper credit)

 

Supplies: HERE

 

Put all the masks into you mask folder

 

Lets get Started:

Open a new canvas 500x500

 

Flood Fill with black

 

Go to Layers>Load/Save Mask>Load Mask From Disk

Choose the mask you would like or the one I used which is !b

 

Use the settings below:

Source Luminance (checked)

Fit to canvas (checked)

Hide all mask (checked)

 

Okay now your image should look like this:

Create a new raster layer

 

Flood fill with: #5b070a

 

Go to Layers>Load/Save Mask>Load Mask From Disk

 

Choose the mask you would like or the one I used which is GabeeValentine4

 

Use the settings below:

Source Luminance (checked)

Fit to canvas (checked)

Invert Transparency (checked)

Hide all mask (checked)

 

No right click on the top masked layer

 

And click on Merge>Merge Group

You need to resize the top layer

 

Image>Resize

 

Use these settings:

Your tag should look like this:

Create a new Raster Layer

 

Flood Fill with White

 

Go to Layers>Load/Save Mask>Load Mask From Disk

 

Choose the mask you would like or the one I used which is Vix_Mask214

 

Use the settings below:

Source Luminance (checked)

Fit to canvas (checked)

Hide all mask (checked)

 

Okay now your image should look like this:

Right click on the new mask Layer

 

Merge>merge group

 

Move your white mask layer over to the right a little like mine below:

Open the sequin

 

Resize the sequin with these settings:

Copy and paste the sequin as a new layer on your tag

 

Go  to Effects>Plugins>Mura’s Meisters>Copies

Use these settings:

Move that layer to where you think it is going to look right

 

Mine looks like this:

Open the sparkle layer I have included

 

Copy and paste as a new layer to you tag

 

You should look like this now:

Open the journal page from the kit

 

Resize with these settings:

Copy and paste the journal into your tag

 

Should look like this now:

Take your magic wand

 

And with these settings:

 

mask_settings.jpg

 

Click inside the journal

 

Go to Selections>Modify>Smooth

 

With these settings:

Once you are done with the smooth

 

Hit Delete on your keyboard and the inside of the frame should be gone:

Do Not Deselect

 

Take the tube or picture you would like to use

 

Resize and fit it just right into the frame

 

Make sure the picture/tube layer is below the journal layer

 

Once you have it placed right go to:

 

Selections>Modify>Expand

 

Use these settings:

Go to:

 

Selections>Invert

 

Make sure your picture layer is selected and hit Delete

 

Selections>Select None

 

You should look like this now:

Open the flower

 

Image>Resize

 

These settings:

Copy and paste the flower onto your image

 

Place on the bottom left corner of the frame

 

I put a glow around the flower

 

I used AlienSkin Eyecandy 3.1 Glow

 

With these settings:

Width: 5

Opacity:50

Opacity Dropoff: FAT

Color: white

 

Duplicate that layer

 

Image>Mirror

 

Image>Flip

 

You should have something like this now:

Open the heart image I sent

 

Place on the other two corners

 

Should look like this now:

Open the wordart

 

Image>resize:

Copy and paste as a new layer

 

Position where you would like it

 

Duplicate layer

 

Mark out the top layer

 

Put a glow on the wordart layer with these settings:

Width: 10

Opacity: 100

Opacity Dropoff: Fat

Color: White

 

Close off that layer for now

 

Take your selection tool:

With these settings:

You are going to carefully put a rectangle around the words Do I

 

Like so:

Now hit the delete button on your keyboard

 

The words will disappear

 

Now do the same thing with the word you?

 

Put a glow around the word dazzle with these settings:

Width: 10

Opacity: 100

Opacity DropOff: Fat

Color: Black

 

Reopen the bottom word art layer

 

You tag should look like this now:

You can add a few more sparkly brushes if you would like

 

I did and this is what it looks like:

Now add your copy write info

 

I always use Pixelette font

 

With these settings:

Now add your name:

 

I used:

 

Font: Carpenter ICG

Size 55

Bold

Anti-alias: Sharp

Black

 

Then added a white glow with these settings:

Width: 4

Opacity: 70

Opacity Dropoff: Fat

Color: white

 

WOHOO You are all done save as a PNG for the transparent background

 

Your final should look something like this:
